SEDP MPC’s special projects are a variety of social, environmental, economic and health projects implemented in partnership with foreign funding institutions, national government agencies, non-government organizations, financial institutions, and business sectors for the purpose of uplifting the socio-economic and health conditions of the microfinance members.
Ang PUREIT ay isang produkto na dinesenyo para sa isang malinis na inumin o water purifier. Ito ay sigurado at protektado laban sa anumang bakterya, virus, at mga parasites. Inaalis nito ang anumang mikrobyo na pwedeng makuha sa tubig. Kasama din dito ang tinatawag na metallic at chemical impurities. Ito ay isang makabagong teknolohiya pero hindi siya isang electronic na kagamitan. Ibig sabihin, hindi siya nangangailangan ng kuryente.
Kagaya sa ibang bansa, karamihan sa miyembro ng SEDP na nakatira sa lungsod, munisipyo o isla ng probinsya ay nakakaranas ng maruming inuming tubig. Dahil dito, karamihan sa kanila ay bumibili ng maiinom na tubig para matiyak na ito ay malinis. Nakakadagdag ito sa gastusin ng pamilya.
Sa ganitong situasyon, ang SEDP Simbag sa Pag- Asenso, Inc. ay nakipag-partner sa Unilever para sa isang produkto na magagamit upang makapagbigay ng maayos at malinis na serbisyong inumin para sa mga pamilya. Ang produkto ay tinawag na PUREIT.
Ang PUREIT ay nagkakahalaga ng PhP 5,500.00 na maaring hulugan bawat linggo sa center collection sa loob ng isang taon. Kung ito ay bibilhin ng cash, mayroon itong 10% discount o sa halagang PhP 4,950.00.
The BWA is an innovative project on swine fattening with the aim of developing a financial product and providing additional livelihood to women. It is piloted in Castilla, Sorsogon to fifteen (15) Nanays who have been provided with ten (10) piglets each, pigpens, feeds with naturally grown ingredients and other stocks. The first batch of swine was given on March 15, 2017 and harvested on 3rd and 4th week of June, 2017.
SEDP Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SEDP MPC) signs a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) as one of the four key partners of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in the implementation of the Gender-Responsive Economic Actions for the Transformation of Women (GREAT Women) Phase 2 funded by the Canadian government through its Department of Foreign Affairs Trade and Development (DFATD).
GREAT Women Project 2 Launching and Signing Ceremony
The GREAT Women Project 2 primarily aims to scale up and expand the existing women-led and women-owned micro enterprises through capacity building and financing. As specified in the MOA, SEDP MPC will capacitate select women entrepreneurs on product development, environmentally-sustainable production, and entrepreneurship and further help them in accessing link and network to market the finished products.
SEDP MPC shall implement the project for 2 years to commence on July 2017. The Cooperative is given 1.6 million for 90 women entrepreneurs who are SEDP microfinance members from the provinces of Albay, Camarines Sur and Sorsogon.
